The file I downloaded has the extension zip.php. What should I do?
Some browser add the .php extension to the file. Just rename the file to dms.zip and run unzip.
When I login and press the PayPal payment button I get an error message.
Please check your browser's security settings and allow cookies from PayPal.
I want to give just certain people and groups access to images. How can I do that?
You can easily give read or read/write permissions to user or groups. Just access your project or your images and set the permissions apropriately.
Somebody reserved a file. How can I inform this person?
With the optional chat or message module you can either tell this person in real time via chat that you need access to the file or with the message module just send a message that will be send to the person's inbox.
The system sometimes logs me out and I have to login again. Why?
This is actually a special security feature and required in government or healthcare. After one hour idle time the system logs you out of the system automatically. The logout time can be changed.
What is the max file size I can upload?
Document Management System has no limitation. Mostly it is the web server, php or database setup that limits the max file size. If you have problems, or get an error message, please contact tech@astatnet.com.
How many users can access the system with one license?
You can setup as many users and groups as you want. With one license all your employees have access via Internet, Intranet or Extranet to the system. That's what we call economical!
I got "variable not defined" errors after installing the system?
Make sure that in your php.ini file you have register_globals = On
My upload session times out or I get a "file not found" error?
The upload file size is defined in MySQL and PHP. You need the follwing settings:
We are using MySql 3.x and have problems to upload files greater than 16MB?
MySql 3.x does not support upload capabilities over 16MB. In order to use DMS with upload/download
capability of upto 1GB you have to upgrade to MySql 4.x.
